House Rules

Dear Valued Guests,

To ensure the comfort and safety during your stay, the Management of Cabana2281 has issued some guidelines to ensure a pleasant experience for all Guests.

Please familiarize yourself with our House Rules to avoid any misunderstandings and unpleasant experience. We will assume that Guests are familiarised with and fully understand the House Rules by confirming the reservation, and at the beginning of your stay in our Cabana.

Check-In & Check-Out Time

Room check-in is from 1400 hrs. Check-out is until 1200 hrs.
Please inform the Management if you need to make a different arrangement on your check-in/check-out time.

Arrival, Registration & Departure

Please note that a RM100.00 refundable security deposit will be required during your arrival as a precaution to cover any damages or extra cleaning expenses if needed. The Management would like to remind Guests to be mindful of the house.
Guests will be issued the keys during registration at the reception and are kindly required to lock the house. Guests are required to hand over their keys to the Resident Manager upon departure.
If Guests lose or do not return the key, they are obligated to pay the penalty of RM100.00 per key.
Rooms can only be used by Guests who are duly registered with a valid identity document presented to the Management
All departures after 1200 hrs will be considered as late departure and additional cost of RM50.00 per hour will be applied to the Guest. If check-out is after 1800 hrs, an extra night including breakfast, will be charged. Please check for details with the Management.

Guest Etiquette

Guests are responsible for their behaviour within the Villas’ compound. In an unlikely event of accidents or altercations, a report shall be made to the appropriate authorities accordingly.
From 2200 to 0700 hours is the time of night peace. We invite every Guest to be mindful during this period and to not cause any noise that can disturb other guests.
Disturbing other guests is not allowed. The Management keeps the right to refuse further hospitality to the Guest who disturbs other guests or disrespects the House Rules.
Guests are advised to be culturally sensitive and respect the local customs during their stay at Katsetiu Villas and when traversing in surrounding public areas.
In case of cancellation of further Guest stay by the Management caused by the misbehaviour and disrespect of House Rules, we reserve the right to keep the amount of a full stay as per reservation.

Personal Belongings & Loss Items

The Management holds no responsibility for any damage or loss of your personal belongings. However, we will protect, advise and warn the Guests of any possible danger to our best of abilities.
In case of any loss items, you are kindly requested to immediately inform the Management. We suggest you to check your room upon your departure from the Villas.

Pets & Animals

Pets are not allowed within the Villas.
You are not allowed to bring any live or dead animals including fishes, shellfish or other sea creatures into the Villas.

Air-conditioning

All rooms have air-conditioning. Please note that air-conditioner does not work if windows and doors are opened or if they are not properly closed.
Please report to the Management should there be any issues related to the air-conditioners.

Smoking

Smoking is prohibited inside the Villas. There are designated smoking areas outside your Villa and also the public smoking zone situated at the Cafe. Please use the ashtrays provided to throw the cigarette butts

Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi internet is free and available throughout the Villas.
Password is provided during check-in.

Prohibited items

It is strictly prohibited to take, use or keep illicit narcotics, explosives, weapons, inflammable materials, strong or unpleasant odour substances, and other dangerous chemicals within the Katsetiu Villas compound.
The Management reserves the rights to refuse any items brought in by Guests that are deemed illegal, dangerous or a threat to the safety of other guests.

Electrical Appliances

Electrical appliances are not allowed in the Villas without the permission of the Management. This rule does not apply to personal care instruments.

Outside Food & Beverages

We do allow Guests to bring outside food and beverages. However, there are certain cuisines that are not recommended to be brought in. Please refer to the Management for additional information.

Parking

Cabana2281 have provided a designated parking area for your convenience. We are not liable for any damage or loss of your vehicles while parked on the compound.

Damage of items belonging to Cabana2281

The Guest will be obliged to cover the cost of damage to Katsetiu Villas for any damage caused by the Guest to Villa property.

Guest Visitors

Guests may have visitors in their villas who must be registered and approved by the Management.
Visits are allowed until 2200 hrs and in case of extended visit (after 2200 hrs), we will charge additional amount of RM150 per person per night, as a supplement for the next guest.

General Cleanliness

Guests are responsible for the order and cleanliness of the Villa and are required to maintain it. The Management is not obliged to clean and tidy up during the stay of the guest. If Guests stay for more than 3 nights, the Villa will be cleaned on the 3rd day.
Throwing waste in toilet bowls, washbasins and other places that are not intended for that purpose is forbidden.
Guests are kindly requested to dispose of trash in the proper bins provided inside the Villas and within the compound.
Guests are not allowed to leave empty cans, bottles or any form of rubbish or waste on the beach or thrown into the sea.

Property Inventory

Guests are not allowed to remove the room inventory (pillows, blankets, towels, linens, etc.) from the Villas.
Any damage or loss of items belonging to Katsetiu Villas will be charged according to the market rate for items valued above RM100.

Children Safety

Guests are required to ensure children are supervised at all times as our property is not baby-proofed or child-proofed.
The Management is not responsible for the safety of babies or children during your stay at Katsetiu Villas.

Water Activities & Beach Safety

It is the Guest’s responsibility to ensure personal safety at the beach or during water activities, including but not limited to swimming, snorkelling, paddle boarding, surfing, kayaking and others.
Guests are encouraged to inform the Management for advice before undertaking any water or beach activities as there are no lifeguards on the beach to monitor your safety.
Red Flags on the beach indicate dangerous conditions (i.e. strong currents, big waves, water sprouts, jellyfish bloom) and are not suitable for any water activities.
For any water activities, kindly contact our Dive Centre for arrangement accordingly. We encourage Guests to make reservations for boat or charter services through our Dive Centre; the Management shall not be held responsible for any matters arising from the use of outside operators.

Others

If you have any suggestions about our facilities or service, or if you have any technical problems in your room, please feel free to inform us at your earliest convenience.
In case of late notice for any complaints that you may have, when our team has no chance to react, those situations will not be considered as a reason for accommodation rate discount.

Violation of House Rules

In the unlikely event of reasonable suspicion that the Villa itself, Guest’s property or the Guest itself is in danger, or that the House Rule is being violated, the Management reserves the right to enter the Villa without further notice.
